STRANGER VISION is an Italian power prog metal band formed in 2019 with the ambition to create a unique sound characterized by unforgettable melodies, power, and technical mastery. Influenced by bands such as Savatage, Blind Guardian, Symphony X, and Dream Theater, they reinterpret these influences through a personal and distinctive lens. The band’s debut album, “Poetica” (2021), featured notable guests such as Fabio Dessi (Arthemis), Alessia Scolletti (Temperance), Guido Benedetti & Alessandro Conti (Trick or Treat), and Zak Stevens (Savatage). Their second album, “Wasteland” (2022), represents an evolution towards a more compact and modern sound, enriched with orchestral, prog, and metalcore influences, and includes collaborations with artists like Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian) and Tom S. Englund (Evergrey). Their third album, “FAUST Act I: Prelude to Darkness” (October 2024), marks another milestone in their career. Inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s masterpiece “Faust,” this album explores the conflict between ambition and morality, blending elements of classic power metal, prog, and grand orchestrations. This work, featuring James LaBrie of Dream Theater, is designed to offer a cinematic and immersive sonic experience, reflecting the contradictions of human nature. With “FAUST Act I: Prelude to Darkness,” Stranger Vision confirms their role as innovators in the contemporary metal scene, continuing to push the boundaries of the genre with ambitious artistic vision and high-level collaborations.
